We need to raise the economic situation of South Carolina and address the affordability issue. South Carolina is one of the poorest states in the country. There are ways in which we can change that from increasing good job opportunities to higher pay for employees in our state. It is critical for our state to adopt a state minimum wage law. Hourly wages can then be incremently raised which will help our hourly employees. They are over two thirds of workers in our state!

How Eve will take action as a legislator:

• Eve will propose a state minimum hourly wage law for our state. It must be an amount that is a livable wage. This will help to lift the economic wages of employees in our state.
